Now I use Bluez. You can install it simply by apt-get install bluez-utils. After you install bluez, pair your device and then click Setup to make the device appear in the Network manager.

I can’t remember whether network manager support was added in 8.04 or 9.04, but I recommend that you upgrade to 9.04 or wait a bit and upgrade to 9.10

When i tried before installing Ubuntu 8.04 on my DELL XPS M1330 laptop it worked fine with Nokia 6681. I’ve directly connected to internet just mentioning the carrier in network.

But after installing Ubuntu 8.04 I’m not able to connect to internet using Nokia 6681.

I’ve tried many steps like GNOME PPP, modem settings …

could you please suggest how can I use the internet from my nokia on my laptop using USB cable?????
