The 15th Amendment to the US Constitution Is Ratified

Ratified during the post-Civil War, Reconstruction period, the main purpose of the 15th Amendment to the US Constitution was to enfranchise former slaves. It states: "The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude." The Tree-Kangaroo

These marsupials are generally found in the rainforests and mountainous regions of New Guinea and Queensland. They are related to the kangaroos endemic to Australia, with whom they share many similar features, including their large hind legs and long, narrow feet. In contrast to the kangaroo, however, these macropods live in trees, have the ability to move their hind legs independently of one another, and leap great distances from tree to tree. Hugo Junkers

Junkers was a pioneering German engineer who held many patents for his original developments in the fields of gas engine and aircraft design. He had innovative ideas about metal airplanes and flying wings, but the realities of war hampered his ability to develop them. During World War II, his company was taken over by the Nazis. Junkers, a pacifist and a socialist, protested the take-over, was sentenced to house arrest, and died soon after. What was the "Sheetmetal Donkey"?
