President Gerald Ford Pardons Iva Toguri D'Aquino

During WWII, Allied forces in the South Pacific dubbed a group of English-speaking female radio broadcasters airing Japanese propaganda "Tokyo Rose." After the war, Japanese-American radio host Iva Toguri D'Aquino was identified by the press as Tokyo Rose and was charged with and convicted of treason.
